WHO YOU ARE.... You have an interest in actively helping to preserve BC First Nations cultural heritage. You have a positive self-starter attitude; you are a good listener and respectful of others. Helping the team and company continually improve and reach its goals is meaningful to you. You enjoy innovation and thinking outside the box. You are safety conscious and will maintain or exceed Kleanza’s safety standards. Your enthusiasm will further Kleanza’s corporate culture and vision.
ABOUT KLEANZA... We take on people and projects that align with our values; are the firm of choice based on relationships and trust; model ethical practice and excellence in heritage and research; are deeply connected to our Indigenous community partners; and support First Nation goals for heritage sovereignty.
Kleanza is a full-suite archaeological consulting firm with offices in Terrace, Prince Rupert, central Vancouver Island (Bowser), and Vancouver. We have a new opportunity for Corporate Project Managers, Project Managers and Field Directors to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis to complement our growing business. We highly value innovation, thinking outside the box, enthusiasm, and we hope you do as well.
Preference is for these positions to be based in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland, though we would accept other locations for the right candidates. Applicants who have experience in a professional services firm/consulting environment would be preferred but not required. The core focus of the Field Director roles is conducting fieldwork, assisting with data collection, and report writing.
Project Managers will be expected to have a reduced field capacity, though field work would still be expected; permit holding status is an asset. Candidates with experience working collaboratively with First Nations communities, and who understand the processes and responsibilities of First Nations heritage permits, are preferred.
What we’re looking for…
What we offer...
Do you want to work with a company that believes in work-life balance ‘and’ enables it? Are you looking for a smaller, values driven culture that prides itself on excellent working relationships with local First Nations and providing a supportive and safe environment for all employees? Would you like to be part of a growing team where your work matters and will make a real impact in the company’s future? Kleanza Consulting Ltd. has an unsurpassed reputation for challenging the current culture in BC archaeology and is a leader in facilitating community-based projects, engagement, and ethical practices.
We are truly a British Columbia-wide firm with offices in Terrace, Prince Rupert, Bowser (central Vancouver Island), and Vancouver. We have an opportunity for a Corporate Project Manager to join our team. This is a new role for Kleanza and although it will start as a 12-month temporary full-time position there will be a good possibility of extension or for the role to become permanent.
We would consider candidates based in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland, BC. Applicants must have previous experience managing complex projects in an Environmental Consulting industry. Previous experience with Wrike Project Management Software is an asset but not mandatory.
What you’ll do…
Become our corporate Project Management leader. Fully leverage our PM software (Wrike) to provide a global view for managing the business and creating efficiencies for the Archaeology Project managers. Manage aspects of large and complex projects in concert with the Archaeology Project Managers and technical team. Standardize Client Project Management processes and systems to exceed service and quality expectations.
Our client base includes municipal and provincial government agencies, First Nations, forestry, mining, transportation, infrastructure, and private development. Our projects complexity results from managing person-hours across multiple sites and deliverables, typically while acting as a sub-contractor within larger projects timelines.
