SEASON 3: We are so excited to share our third season with you! Our goal for this season, is to share diverse topics while supporting the growth and interests of our Kleanza Team. Each of our archaeologists has been invited to pick a topic that they’d love to understand better, and choose the dream guest they’d most like to learn from! These conversations are as wildly varied and thought-provoking as is our amazing crew! Join us every second Wednesday for some fearless, fascinating and fun conversations about our discipline!
SEASON 2: We open this new season by honouring Black History Month and sharing an incredible discussion with Dr. Bill White, archaeologist and assistant professor at University of California Berkeley. He deepens our understanding of the challenges facing people of colour who practice archaeology (or want to) in the United States, and we get to hear some of the solutions he’s found. Then Amanda takes a hiatus while Jenny helms conversations based on our feelings of gratitude. 2020-2022 were tough years for everyone, and that includes our team. And yet…they absolutely rocked it! We are so proud of, and grateful to this wonderful group, so we’d like you to meet some of them, and hear what they are each passionate about changing in the practice of archaeology.
SEASON 1: Every Wednesday, Jenny Botica and Amanda Marshall have a laugh, a cry, or a howl at the moon, over lessons learned during their 20+ years as archeologists, business owners, partners, and moms. Fearless and fierce conversations focus on the state of their discipline, their company, and their lives…and ask some hard questions. How do we decolonize our practice? How does our work support Indigenous communities in their goals for heritage sovereignty? How do we keep our company on a sustainable path for growth while supporting the professional goals of our team? How do we achieve all this AND sustain a balanced life?
